Eight per cent growth going into our anniversary year

GO! Express & Logistics has posted a new record in consignment volumes for the last business year

  • Record year 2018: eight per cent growth in consignment volumes and seven million consignments
  • Doubled: capacities at the expanded central hub in Niederaula geared towards further growth
  • Well-positioned going into our anniversary year: 35 years of GO!

Bonn, 30 January 2019. The express and courier service provider GO! is continuing on its successful path. Consignment volumes increased strongly once again with growth of eight per cent compared to the previous year. For the first time in the company’s history, the seven-million mark was surpassed for consignments sent in a single year. Turnover rose to over €320 million in 2018. The GO! group is expecting further growth in consignment volumes and turnover in Europe in 2019.

Drivers of growth in the last business year were once again the medical technology, pharmaceutical and high-tech industries, along with the high-availability logistics segment. The acquisition of new market shares and systematic increase in quality set a tone that was reflected in the new record (compared to 6.5 million consignments sent in the previous year). ‘We offer genuine precision logistics for our customers,’ says Ulrich Nolte, managing director of GO! Express & Logistics (Deutschland) GmbH, summarising the success of his company. ‘We develop and continue to offer new individual solutions with the focus on process reliability throughout the entire transportation process. Our network-wide delivery rate of 99.41 per cent marks GO! out as a reliable, flexible logistics partner,’ Nolte adds.

Investment in the future: doubled capacity

The expansion of the central hub in Niederaula based on an investment of almost €12 million in 2018 ensures an expansion in capacity of 100 per cent. The reconstruction efforts reduce the average stay for consignments to around just 45 minutes, which directly benefits customers even in the case of increased consignment volumes. With the optimisation of its locations in Kassel, Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, GO! is investing in the continued expansion of its station network in 2019.

Anniversary year: 35 years of GO!

2019 is a special year for GO! The company will celebrate its anniversary in November and look back on 35 years of express and logistics services. 'For us and our network partners, this is an added incentive to set new records in our anniversary year of 2019. We want to offer outstanding performance and new services for our customers and continue to grow. We have already laid the foundations for this and hope to maintain last year’s growth rate,’ says Nolte, looking ahead to the current year.
